Justin L. Mauney, an attorney at Wake Family Law Group, was admitted to the practice of law in North Carolina in 2007 and focuses his practice on all aspects of North Carolina family law litigation and negotiation, including equitable distribution, child custody, child support, postseparation support and alimony, premarital agreements and separation agreements.
Mr. Mauney received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. In 2007, Mr. Mauney received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.
While in law school, Mr. Mauney served as the Executive Editor of the Campbell Law Review and represented Campbell University at several trial competitions throughout the country. Mr. Mauney was also inducted as a member of the Order of Barristers and received the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Award for outstanding scholastic achievement in Family Law.
Mr. Mauney was certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization in 2012. In 2013, Mr. Mauney was recognized by Business North Carolina magazine as one of the Legal Elite in Family Law, a distinction awarded to less than 3.5% of lawyers statewide.
A native of Cary, North Carolina, Mr. Mauney currently resides in Cary with his wife, Sarah, and their twin children.
